Body Found In Grant-Frontier Park

Police: Detectives Investigating Suspicious Death

Lt. Matt Murray confirmed that Denver police were investigating a suspicious death at 2200 South Platte River Drive Sunday morning. Murray said that when officers arrived at around 7:30 a.m. they found a man's body.

Fire dispatchers told 7NEWS that they were responding to reports of a “man down” when they found the body and called police for help.

7NEWS was the first at the scene. A crew reported that the body was found in the parking lot of Grant-Frontier Park.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner had scheduled an autopsy for Monday, Murray said. He said the victim's identity would be released after autopsy was completed and next of kin were notified.
