WASHINGTON, D.C. - David Petraeus renunció como director general de la Agencia Central de Inteligencia de Estados Unidos (CIA), luego de admitir que sostuvo una relación extramatrimonial.

De acuerdo con su carta de renuncia, Petraeus pidió al presidente Barack Obama que le permitiera dejar el cargo. El viernes, el mandatario aceptó la dimisión.

Petraeus reconoció en un comunicado que había mostrado un “criterio extremadamente pobre” por incurrir en la infidelidad.
