Asian Woman, Black Man In White Van, Mother Reports

The Sheridan Police Department is investigating an attempted child abduction that occurred in the 4300 block of South Lowell Boulevard at approximately 2:45 p.m. Wednesday.The victim's mother reported that she observed a female carrying the mother's 2-year-old son from the apartment playground toward a white van that was parked on South Lowell Boulevard. The mother yelled at the woman who dropped the child and ran to the van.The van drove northbound where it ran the red light at Lowell and Quincy. The van was last seen westbound on West Quincy Avenue.The female suspect was described as an Asian female, 30 years of age, 5"5', 120 lbs, dark shoulder length hair.The van driver was described as a black male, unknown age or descriptionThe van was described as an older panel white van, two rear doors with windows, possible temporary plate in one of the rear windows and rust on bottom of the van doorsAnyone with information should contact Detective Kryss Bryant at 303-901-8430 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867
