DENVER - Breast cancer patients and their families can connect with support groups, financial assistance and a wide range of resources through the Colorado Breast Cancer Resources Directory.
Newly diagnosed patients will find a list of specially trained patient navigators to help them find a doctor, answer questions about insurance and connect with survivors who have been through the process.
The directory includes integrative care resources, which help alleviate side effects of treatment and add to the quality of life.
Acupuncture, herbs and vitamins, meditation and visualization are just a sampling of the therapies listed under Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
Many of the resources are services provided free or at low-cost.
New resources and information is added to the online directory throughout the year.
A printed version, updated annually, is available in English and Spanish.
