Ten years ago the Spirituals Project at the University of Denver set out to revitalize the music of enslaved Africans in America.
Saturday Nov. 17 from 7-9 p.m. the community choir will celebrate the program's 10th anniversary with Changed My Name: A Spirituals Cantata at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at 2344 E. Iliff Ave. in Denver.
