Arrest Warrant Issued For Husband Of Slain Psychic

John Marks Jr. Wanted On Second-Degree Murder Charge

An arrest warrant has been issued for the common law husband of a Larimer County psychic whose body was found over the weekend.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office said the warrant was issued for John Marks Jr. "based on evidence gathered since the disappearance of Kathy Adams."

Adams was reported missing on Oct. 12.

The search for the couple began when Larimer County sheriff's deputies, conducting a welfare check at the couple's East Mulberry Street home, found suspicious circumstances that made them suspect foul play, according to an agency statement.

On Oct. 13 -- a day after the investigation began -- investigators located Marks' 1995 silver four-door Buick LaSabre parked at a Longmont motel near Interstate 25 and Colorado Highway 119. The motel is 30 miles south of the couple's home outside Fort Collins.

The Sheriff's Office also released an updated photo of Marks, apparently taken inside the motel. They said Marks also goes by the name of Vinnie Delabo.

On Saturday, a motorist noticed something on the side of Highway 36 between Lyons and Estes Park and notified the Sheriff's Office. Deputies checking the report determined it was the body of Kathy Adams.

Adams' death has been ruled a homicide, but investigators would not say how the woman died or how long she had been dead before her body was found.

Anyone with information on Marks' whereabouts is asked to call 970-416-1985, their local law enforcement agency or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868.

Adams worked as a psychic and was also known in the area as "Psychic Kay."
