The Colorado Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of a Grand Junction man found guilty of killing his wife and dumping her body in the trash.

The court ruled yesterday in the case of 44-year-old Michael Blagg. He was convicted of first-degree murder in 2004 and sentenced to life in prison for the death of his wife, Jennifer.

Blagg reported her and their 6-year-old daughter, Abby, missing in November 2001. Searchers found Jennifer Blagg's body in a Mesa County landfill seven months later.

Abby remains missing and is presumed dead.

Michael Blagg's attorneys argued jurors should not have heard about his addiction to Internet pornography, nor should a retired criminal profiler been allowed to testify.

Jennifer Blagg would have been 41 this past Tuesday and Abby would be 13 in March.
