GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. - Amtrak trains are running again between Denver and western Colorado now that tracks damaged by last month's flooding have been repaired.
California Zephyr trains that left Chicago and the San Francisco area on Friday made stops in Fraser, Granby, Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction on Saturday.
Passenger trains haven't been able to travel through those communities and others in Utah since Sept. 11 because of heavy rain and flooding in the Moffat Tunnel west of Denver. The trains traveled through Wyoming instead.
Besides making travel easier, resumption of the service means that train passengers can once again enjoy the scenery through Glenwood Canyon.
