Former Denver Public Schools Employee Accused Of Sexual Assault On Student

DENVER -- A man who formerly worked for Denver Public Schools has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a student.Chris Anderson, 23, worked at Amesse and Smith elementary schools as a paraprofessional. Anderson was hired to work at Amesse Elementary in September 2002 and at Smith Elementary in January 2003. He was terminated in August.His mother ran an in-home day care when the assaults allegedly happened. Police said they are concerned there may be more victims.
Anderson is being held at the Denver County Jail on a $100,000 bond.Anyone with information or concerns about Anderson is asked to contact the Denver Police Crimes Against Persons Unit at 720-913-6050.
