Kittens Born Without Legs Ready For Adoption

Brother, Sister Kittens Doing Well Despite Missing Legs

UPDATED: 7:56 pm MDT September 19, 2006

Two kittens, each born without parts of their legs, are ready to be adopted from the Table Mountain Animal Center.

The brother and sister, Dan and Taffy, were both born at the animal center, and at first the shelter said it worried if the kittens would be OK.

After time, love and care, the shelter said the kittens are doing great. But they said like any handicap, the kittens have their limitations.

Dan was born without the bottom half of his back legs while Taffy is missing part of one.

The shelter said it will give special stairs to the family that adopts Dan so he can climb up to his favorite place easier.

If you are interested in adopting either kitten, you can apply at Table Mountain Animal Center. If you would like view the other cats and dogs available for adoption at the shelter, click here.
