These invigorating sprays are simple to make, simple to use. They can give you a lift, help you unwind, or just make you feel good because the scent is so wonderful.

Basic Recipe -- yields 14 oz. bottle

• 2 oz. each of distilled water and vodka
• Essential oils or fragrance oils approximately 1 Tbsp.

Because this is cologne, you want the scent somewhat strong. The difference in the strength of oils is enormous and you will therefore have to use your nose as a guide as to how much scent is pleasing to you. The ratio of water to alcohol is necessary because you need a minimum of 20% alcohol as a preservative. There are no chemical dispersants so you must shake vigorously before each spray

Refreshing: 1 teaspoon each of lime and lavender 1/4 teaspoon each of peppermint and lemon

Invigorating: 1 1/2 teaspoons each of rosemary and peppermint

Manly Man Blend: 2 teaspoons lemongrass and 1 teaspoon cedar or cedarwood

Citrus: 1 teaspoon each orange and mandarin 1/2 teaspoon each of lemon and grapefruit

Favorite: 1 teaspoon each of lavender, lemongrass and ylang ylang Fragrance oils, lilac, vanilla, jasmine, sweetgrass, pikaki, plumeria and lavender are favorites
