Call 7: Airline Refund Policies
Schedules, Refund And Travel Change Rules Modified
Flight schedules are changing by the minute, and so are the airlines' stringent ticket policies.
Until now, you had to pay penalty fees for changing your tickets. That's not the case for some travelers, though.
United Airlines:
Customers who bought tickets for flights between Sept. 11 and Sept. 25 can postpone their trips without any service charges.
Ticketed customers who simply don't want to board a plane can get refunds.
American Airlines:
The airline is waiving change fees for customers with ticketed travel between Sept. 11 and Sept. 25.
These customers can also get refunds or vouchers to fly at a later time.
Frontier Airlines:
Frontier will refund passengers who had tickets issued from Sept. 11 through Sept. 25.
These tickets can also be used at a later date without any penalties or change fees.
