FRANKTOWN, Colo. -- T-REX has the potential of impacting highways other than Interstate 25.
Highway 83 between Franktown and Colorado Springs is already becoming an alternate route for commuters, and the two-lane road is not designed for heavy traffic.
Residents said that its driving them crazy.
"We have started to put steel shutters in our bedroom windows so that we can sleep through the noise," Franktown resident Janet Herman said.
Franktown residents said that T-REX is just going to make things worse. They want police enforcement, acceleration lanes and shoulders along the road so that the highway can handle emergencies that residents know are coming.
