Police in Boulder said that they're going to be testing new DNA samples for possible leads in the long-cold JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation.

Boulder Police Chief Mark Beckner (pictured, left) said that the hair and bodily-fluid samples were received from an Internet tipster who said they were sent to her by someone close to a man who lived in Boulder when JonBenet was murdered five years ago.

The chief said that he doesn't know if the material will provide any viable lead.

The 6-year-old child was found beaten and strangled in the basement of her family's home on Dec. 26, 1996.

Police have said JonBenet's brother Burke is not a suspect, but they still regard the parents, John and Patsy, as being "under suspicion." The entire family was at home the night JonBenet was murdered.
