Two Women, Five Men Arrested

Seven people were arrested Thursday night after the North Metro Drug Task Force made another major methamphetamine lab bust in the metro area. North Metro Task Force See Police Video Of Bust Officers, with guns drawn, stormed a Thornton home Thursday night wearing oxygen tanks and masks -- making the scene look like something out of a science fiction movie. Thursday's raid was the first time that the task force has made a drug bust wearing special breathing apparatus, police said. The gear was to protect them from inhaling possibly hazardous chemicals in the home, 7NEWS reported. Police said that they were tipped off to the suspected meth lab by people living in the area, who noticed suspicious activity at the home -- located on the 11700 block of Elizabeth Circle. After months of undercover investigations at the home, authorities moved in and found the makings of a major meth lab. Meth Lab Suspects But the search isn't over yet -- officers are planning to investigate two large storage units in the basement of a Thornton apartment complex, where investigators believe more meth lab materials are contained. Two women and five men face charges. A juvenile was also taken into custody. Police arrested Dan Smith, 50; Douglas Lamfers, 37; Keith Allen, 24; Briana Mullen, 31; James Gerber, age unavailable; Norman Derosa, 34 and Jennifer Derosa, 29. According to authorities, Derosas lived in the house that was raided. Thursday's was the 37th meth bust in Adams County this year and the fourth this week, officials said. Previous Stories:
