A man accused of attacking people at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting last week was formally charged Monday, said Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.

Fabin Guzman, 20, is charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, three counts of third-degree assault and criminal mischief.

The charges allege that Guzman was one of several men who burst into a meeting room in the 2500 block of Welton Street on April 18 and assaulted people attending a meeting.

Guzman remains in custody in the Denver County Jail. His bond is set at $75,000. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on April 26.

The motive for the attacks has not been released. The investigation continues.
