Littleton Man Admits Masturbating In Burglarized Homes, Newspaper Says

GOLDEN, Colo. -- A Littleton man who admitted breaking into homes and masturbating was bound over for trial in Jefferson County Tuesday on charges of burglary with intent to litter, the Rocky Mountain News reported.Robert Kent Peterson, 45, is free on a $50,000 bond, until his trial.The Lockheed Martin employee was arrested last on Feb. 3 after a woman said she found him hiding her daughter's bedroom closet in the 9600 block of West Chatfield Avenue. He allegedly told the woman that he worked for a plumbing company.
Peterson was identified as a suspect in a similar incident on Jan. 13 in which a 15-year-old girl reported finding a man hiding in an upstairs bathroom. The girl ran from the home and called 911 from a friend's house. She identified Peterson through a photo lineup, according to investigators.Peterson was convicted of similar charges in 1999, the newspaper reported in its Tuesday editions. He told his probation officer that he had broken into about 40 homes and masturbated in about half of them, according to court records obtained by the newspaper.Peterson is due back in court on June 5.
