The TLC Meals on Wheels program in Littleton has been driving away hunger since the 1960s.
And for much of that time 7Everyday Hero Marilyn Ness has been a driving force behind the program.
"It's such a good program," said Ness.
Ness knows well the power of serving others.
"I have volunteered at Meals on Wheels for 45 years," said Ness.
"Most marriages don't last this long, so it's incredible that someone is a volunteer and does this," said John Vargas, fellow TLC Meals of Wheels volunteer.
"I started off as a driver," said Ness proudly.
Marilyn has been with the program since the early days it served mostly Littleton.
Now, the program has 26-routes covering 95-square miles of the South Metro.
TLC Meals on Wheels provides more than 86,000 meals a year.
It can do that thanks to volunteers like Marilyn Ness.
"If anyone gets tired they just look over their shoulder and there's Marilyn working away. So, it keeps us moving," said Vargas.
