Teens Accused In Ecstasy Death Given Probation

Girls Cry, Apologize In Full Courtroom

Three teenagers were sentenced Thursday to probation and community service after they were accused of supplying the ecstasy tablet that eventually led to the death of a Boulder teenager.

Brittney Chambers was given the ecstasy at her 16th birthday party, in January.

She then lapsed into a coma and later died.

The three girls were sentenced to 12 months probation, 100 hours of community service and random drug testing. The judge told the girls that he hoped that they will speak at a teen center that the victim's mother is planning to open in order to educate about the dangers of ecstasy.

The girls cried in the courtroom and apologized, according to 7NEWS.
