The man suspected of killing two people in a road rage incident was in court Monday, where a judge heard arguments as to what charges he should face and whether he should be free on bond.Investigators say 32-year-old Jason Reynolds was driving aggressively on E-470 last November when he cut off a driver then slammed on his brakes.Kelvin Norman, 50, of Highlands Ranch swerved into oncoming traffic and landed on another sport utility vehicle. Norman, and 35-year-old Greg Boss of Lone Tree, died instantly.
Reynolds was not injured.Reynolds faces two counts of first-degree murder for his actions on that day and charges of driving under the influence of drugs and reckless driving for the day he was arrested.Reynolds has a history of aggressive driving, according to Colorado records.Colorado State Trooper testified Monday that Reynold has been involved in seven other road rage incidents.Trooper Kelly Pickering said on July 6, Reynolds rammed his truck into the back of another car and said, "The (expletive) got what he deserved."In another case, a driver hit Reynolds after he said Reynolds cut him off. When the other driver asked why, Reynolds said, "Doesn't matter. You're the (expletive) that's gonna get the ticket because you ran into me," according to Pickering. When the preliminary hearing concluded on Monday, Judge Maryilyn Leonard Antrim said she wants to review the evidence and case law.Antrim will make a decision on charges Wednesday.
