Bounty Hunters Charged With Kidnapping
Prosecutors Say Alleged Kidnapping Was Family Dispute
Denver prosecutors have charged three bounty
hunters with kidnapping.
Authorities said that Fred McBride, 42, Sherrie Summers, 37, and Clara Goins, 52, illegally abducted a man, apparently as part of a family dispute.
Denver police Lt. Gary Lauricella said that the three suspects
handcuffed the man last December and drove him to Fort Collins, Colo., where
a warrant had been issued for his arrest in a traffic case.
The Larimer County arrest warrant did not authorize extradition from another county, according to authorities.
The man is the ex-boyfriend of one of the suspect's daughters, Lauricella said.
