Shotgun Blast Culminates Road Rage Encounter
Littleton Police Need Help Locating Shooter

LITTLETON, Colo. -- An early-morning road rage incident ended when one motorist pulled a shotgun and fired it at another driver, police said Thursday.The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. in 7700 block of South Broadway when the driver of a Toyota Corolla threw what appeared to be a soda can at the shooting victim's vehicle as the two cars drove south.Police said the two drivers stopped their cars near South Santa Fe Drive and South Prince Street and got out to exchange words. The victim said the suspect pulled out a shotgun and fired it at him, striking him in the upper torso, arm and head.
The shooting victim got back in his car and drove to his home in Littleton, where a friend drove him to the hospital. He was listed in fair condition, police said Thursday afternoon. He is in his mid-20s, according to police.They are looking for the man with the shotgun and described him as a white male, 25 to 30 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds, with a slight muscular build, medium length brown hair and possibly wearing glasses with a possible mustache and goatee.The assailant's vehicle was described as a tan or gold Toyota Corolla with "V6" on the trunk lid and possible a "Respect Life" license plate.Littleton police have requested that anyone with information regarding the incident call the the Detective Division at (303) 795-3890, or their local law enforcement agency.
