Arrest Made In Lory Park Slaying, Shootings
Owens Apprehended In Louisiana

AURORA, Colo. -- A third person wanted in connection with the slaying of one man and the shootings of two others in Aurora was arrested Sunday in Louisiana.Sir Mario Owens, 21, was apprehended in Shreveport, La., on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder and first-degree assault. He was armed with a handgun when arrested, according to Aurora police.Owens was charged in the July 4, 2004 fatal shooting of Gregory Vann in Aurora's Lory Park and the wounding of Elvin Bell and Javad Marshall-Fields during the same incident.
Marshall-Fields was a witness in the shooting and he and his fiancé, Vivian Wolfe, were gunned down last June. Police have not made an arrest in that case. Police believe their killings were to prevent Marshall-Fields from testifying in the Lory Park case.Owens was one of three people police said they identified in the Lory Park incident. The other two, Robert Keith Ray, 20, and Davinia Ilene Ray, 26, were arrested earlier in the case.Vann was a friend of Marshall-Fields and he identified Ray as the person who drove the getaway car in the Lory Park shooting.Marshall-Fields and Wolfe, both 22, were driving their car through an Aurora intersection June 20 when they were ambushed. Their car was shot more than a dozen times and they died instantly in a hail of gunfire.There is a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the slayings of Marshall-Fields and Wolfe.
