Mexican National Accused In I-76 Crash That Killed 2

DENVER -- The driver of a van that crashed on Interstate 76, killing two people, was charged in connection with the accident Tuesday.The Colorado State Patrol said that Heriberto Flores-Garcia, 48, of Chihuahua, Mexico, was driving a passenger van Monday morning carrying 11 people when he lost control on the snowy interstate, causing the van to roll.The accident happened at the Lochbuie exit, as the 2002 Ford E-350 passenger van was traveling to Nebraska.
In addition to the two people killed in the crash, the other nine people, including Flores-Garcia, were injured.He was arrested Tuesday after his release from the hospital and held for investigation of careless driving causing death and careless driving causing injuries.The man and woman who died in the crash have not been identified but the people injured were identified as Gilbert Rivera of Lexington, Neb., Magdalebo Borrega-Lares of Omaha, Neb., Manuel Parra of Grand Island, Neb., Ariosto Manriquex of Grand Island, Neb., and Selerino Mata- Silva of Chihuahua, Mexico. Investigators haven't been able to determine the hometowns of Maria Aguilar, Arnulfo Rodriguez, and Roberto Pacheco.
