Boulder Woman Cited For False Reporting

BOULDER, Colo. -- A 21-year-old Boulder woman was issued a summons by police after they said she made up a report that an intruder assaulted her in her apartment and took money from her.Alicia Dawkins was cited for false reporting of the alleged Sept. 6 incident.Police said she initially reported that a man entered her apartment, physically assaulted her and then took money before leaving. She even gave police a description of the alleged assailant that resulted in a composite sketch being issued to the media.
Police did not say why they believed Dawkins made up the report.
