School Officials Want Montessori Director To Resign
Co-Founder Of School Is Charged With Attempted Sexual Assault
The leaders of Mountain Shadows Montessori
school want director Don Alan Temple to resign because he's been
charged with attempted sexual assault.
Temple (pictured, right) was charged with ten counts of attempted sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. The charges involve two students and one former student of the Montessori school.
School administrator Gretchen Lang said in a letter that the
school's leadership team believes Temple should resign for the
welfare of the school. However, she said that the team is not making a
judgment on the truth of the allegations.
Temple and his wife, Debbie Temple, founded the school and make
up its board of directors.
Don Alan Temple surrendered to authorities on Feb. 10. He
was released on $50,000 bail but was ordered to stay away
from anyone younger than 18, including his 14-year-old daughter.
