Commerce City Bans Pit Bulls

Starting, Nov. 1 new pit bulls will not be allowed in Commerce City. The city council passed that ban last night along with new rules for current owners.

Current owners will be allowed to keep their dogs as long as they register the animals by the Nov. 1 deadline.

Owners must also must carry a liability insurance policy in the amount of $100,000 per pit bull.
