One of the people accused of supplying the ecstasy pill blamed in the death of a 16-year-old girl has been jailed in another drug case. Travis Schuerger, 20, was accused of selling ecstasy to an undercover Denver officer at a November rave party before he was arrested in the Brittney Chamber's case in Superior. Ecstasy suspect goes to jail, and police investigate church A magistrate on Thursday revoked Schuerger's bond. The judge said Schuerger also missed two court-mandated drug tests. He is accused of giving ecstasy pills to high school senior Rebecca A. Sheffield, 18, who is accused of selling one pill for $25 to a four girls who wanted to give it to Chambers as a birthday present. Schuerger and Sheffield were married shortly after their Feb. 2 arrest. Chambers became ill after taking the drug Jan. 28 at a birthday party at her mother's house in Superior. She slipped into a coma and died Feb. 2 after life support was removed. A Boulder County sheriff's deputy was suspended for three days without pay on Thursday and transferred to his former position at the county jail for unspecified problems in the way he responded to the call at Chambers' house, Sheriff George Epp said. A second deputy's actions are still under review. Epp did not release the deputies' names or any details of their actions. Denver police arrested Schuerger during a rave party last November. The party was located at Imago Dei, a north Denver church. According to court documents, Schuerger approached an undercover Denver police detective and asked him if he wanted to buy some "x" for $25 a pill. Police said Schuerger had nine ecstasy pills. Police are taking a closer look at the Imago Dei church's operations. A woman inside the church told 7News that it was a church. She said that it didn't hold "raves," but rather after-hours youth outreach programs. However, Imago Dei is featured prominently on a Colorado rave Web site that is promoting upcoming raves at the church location. Sources tell 7News that because of the Schuerger drug bust and other alleged problems there, police are investigating the possibility of using the city's public nuisance ordinance to close the church down.
