School Director Posts Bond In Sex Investigation
Boulder Investigation Involves Female Students, Authorities Confirm
The Founder and Director of a Boulder Montessori School is under investigation for sexually assaulting three female students, authorities said Monday.
Don Alan Temple (pictured, right), 53, was arrested over the weekend and was released on $50,000 bond from the Boulder County jail.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff's office, the investigation began on Feb. 1 when a 12-year-old female student alleged that she had been sexually assaulted while she was a student at Mountain Shadows Montessori School.
During the course of the investigation several other females came forward to report being victims or witnesses to the assaults, said Capt. Dennis Hopper.
Boulder Community Reacts To Allegations
Temple turned himself in after learning that there was a warrant out for his arrest. He is under investigation on three counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, three counts of sexual assault on a child and three counts of sexual assault on a child, pattern of abuse.
The Boulder County Sheriff's office is continuing its investigation.
