Missing Colorado Woman's Body Found In Utah

Foul Play Not Suspected

POSTED: 8:46 am MDT May 9, 2005

The body of a Colorado woman was found in eastern Utah Sunday, and authorities said that foul play is not suspected.

The body of Mary M. Laychak, 36, of Broomfield was found in Spring Canyon. She had been missing since May 1, when she left her home.

The Grand County Sheriff's Office did not release the cause of death but said that Laychak was bipolar and had stopped taking her medication.

The body was discovered about 2½ miles from her car, which was abandoned north Interstate 70, about 40 miles northeast of Moab.
