DENVER -- Denver police are looking for the person or people responsible for opening fire at a McDonald's parking lot Sunday night, injuring two teens.Police say several people were standing by their cars at the lot near the intersection of Federal Avenue and Elliot Street when a white car pulled up just after 10 p.m. and a passenger inside the vehicle jumped out and fired more than 20 rounds.A teen girl and boy were shot. They were identified by police as David Ramirez and Terra Ramirez, both 18. The two were taken to Denver Health and are expected to be OK. Terra Ramirez was shot in the leg and David Ramirez was shot in the buttocks, police said.
Investigators don't know yet if this was a random shooting or the victims were the targets of the attack.Denver Police took two females in custody for investigation of criminal attempt first-degree murder. One female is a juvenile and the second was identified by police as Vanessa Marquez. Police impounded a white Dodge Neon and a Chevy Monte Carlo in connection with the investigation.Police are looking for three Hispanic males between 17 and 20 years old in the shooting.If you have any information about the shooting, call Denver police.
