We Salute Our 7Everyday Heroes
Every week, Denver's 7 boldly stands up for working families by saluting Coloradans who are making a difference in their community.The 7Everyday Hero Award is presented every Sunday at 10 p.m. by 7NEWS anchor Mitch Jelniker. The segment is repeated the following Monday at 5 a.m., Thursday at 11 a.m., Friday at 4 p.m., Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 7 a.m.
The 7Everyday Hero Award is given to Coloradans who initiate solutions, motivate others, represent or serve working families and work on a nonprofit basis.Nominate Someone You KnowIf you want to recognize someone who truly stands out in the community, fill out the nomination form.Note: The criteria for the 7Everyday Hero Award has been determined by a volunteer committee made up of 7NEWS employees. We will be flexible in selecting nominees, understanding that no one person could fulfill all the criteria. We will also review each nomination on a case-by-case basis.The 7Everyday Hero Award recipient will be someone who:
- Represents or serves working families
- Initiates or creates solutions
- Motivates others
- Makes sacrifices
- Benefits others
- Makes a difference
- Leads on an ongoing basis
- Is a role model
- Fills a need
- Goes beyond the scope of their job
- Does his/her work on a not-for-profit basis
- Does not profit from a charitable organization
- Solves problems
- Goes above the call of duty
- Successfully follows through
- Sets an example
- Is focused
- Is actively involved
