Young Boy Falls Through Ice

WESTMINSTER, Colo. -- A 5-year-old boy fell through the ice on a pond in Cobbletstone Park at 81st Ave. and Clay St. Friday afternoon.The child's mother ran to the pond from her nearby apartment, but was unable to pull him from the water. Her screams attacted the attention of a good Samaritan who pulled the boy from the water and administered CPR.The boy was rushed to St. Anthony's North, then airlifted to The Children's Hospital in very serious condition.
The mishap happened shortly after 2 p.m.
