DENVER -- Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire that damaged a well-known business in Cherry Creek North Monday morning.

Madeline's Salon On Fillmore was heavily damaged by the flames.

Firefighters said the fire broke out just after 7 a.m. A passerby spotted the flames and called for help.

Officials said the fire was contained to the salon but nearby shops suffered some smoke and water damage.
