Police Need Help Identifying Car-Surfing Victim
Woman Had No Identification When Found

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Fort Collins police need help identifying a young woman critically injured Monday in a hit-and-run accident. Witnesses said the woman was "car surfing" when she fell off the top of a moving car and hit her head on the pavement.
The woman was left in the street bleeding, unconscious and barely breathing. She remained in critical condition at Poudre Valley Hospital Wednesday, but authorities don't know who she is because she carried no identification. The accident happened Monday around 6:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Smith Street in Fort Collins. A female driver and a passenger asked witnesses to call 911, then sped away in a light-colored, four-door Buick LaSabre with Wyoming license plates. Police believe the victim is between 18 and 20 years old. She is 5 feet 6 inches and weighs 124 pounds. She has shoulder-length, dark brown hair with red highlights, brown eyes, pierced ears and a pierced belly button. She has a birthmark on her upper right hip. The woman is wearing a silver ring with a single stone on her left hand.Police are also looking for the woman who was driving the LaSabre. It is a crime to leave the scene of an accident, police said.
