Greenspan, Owens Also Attending American Enterprise Institute World Forum

POSTED: 8:54 am MDT June 17, 2004

Vice President Dick Cheney is expected in Vail Thursday to discuss critical national issues at a private, three-day forum.

Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and Gov. Bill Owens will also attend.

The gathering is considered an informal summit but is expected to attract representatives from Israel, Afghanistan, severalEuropean nations and multinational corporations.

The only event open to the public is a question-and-answer session Thursday on the 2004 election.

Former President Gerald Ford started the annual gathering in 1982 and serves as the official host. Ford owns a home nearby.

The event -- called the American Enterprise Institute World Forum -- runs through Saturday.
