Homeland Security Conducts 'Drug Smuggling' Investigation At Boulder Airport

Agents, K-9 Searched Hangar 3355 On Monday

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and local authorities are investigating a suspected drug smuggling operation at Boulder Municipal Airport, according to the Boulder Daily Camera.

The newspaper reported that agents and a drug-sniffing K-9 searched Hangar 3355 on Monday afternoon.

The operation is a joint investigation involving Homeland Security Investigations division and the Boulder County Drug Task Force.

At least four airplanes and five vehicles were inside the hangar on Monday.
