FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Police said a man was spotted trying to spy on girls in a Colorado State University locker room and later in a Poudre High School restroom Friday. The first incident happened in the B wing of CSU’s Moby Arena just before 10 a.m. A woman told officers that when she spotted the man in the locker area, he covered his face and ran out an exit on the south side of the building.CSU spokeswoman Dell Rae Moellenberg said the man was believed to be college age. He was described as about 6-feet tall with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeve Henley shirt with dark pants. The man was also seen wearing sunglasses with gray frames and orange lenses on the back of his head.
Less than an hour later, police believe the same man was spotted in a girl’s restroom at Poudre High School. The physical description and clothing of the man seen at the high school was the same as the man seen at CSU.Moellenberg said police believed the man seen at Poudre High School was driving a dark-colored SUV, possibly a 1995 – 2005 four door GMC Jimmy or Chevy S-10 Blazer. Investigators said the SUV was likely black or dark green and was missing a piece of silver trim on the passenger side front door.Fort Collins Police and CSU police were reviewing photos from security cameras in their search for the possible peeping tom.Anyone who recognized the man in the surveillance photos was asked to call CSU Police Detective Chris Melvin at 970-491-2013.
