Vincinte Jackson Charged In Murder Of Brandy Fonteneaux

FORT CARSON, Colo. -- A Fort Carson soldier has been charged in the slaying of another soldier, found dead in the Army barracks on Jan. 8.Sgt. Vincinte L. Jackson 576th Engineer Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, was charged with an Article 118, murder with premeditation, according to a release from the public affairs office.The Army’s Criminal Investigation Command began investigating after the body of Spc. Brandy Fonteneaux was found.
Jackson has been placed in pretrial confinement since his Jan. 20 arrest.Fonteneaux's family in Houston, Texas said they were told she had been stabbed to death and was found nude in her room. She was a a food service worker with Fort Carson’s 4th Engineer Battalion.Fonteneaux joined the Army in 2009 and arrived at Fort Carson in 2010.
