Middle School Students Pepper Sprayed On Bus
Students Returned to Carmody Middle School

LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Eight middle school students were treated after a pepper spray incident on a Carmody Middle School bus.The bus driver was taking the students home when the incident occurred Wednesday afternoon. The driver immediately turned the bus around and drove back to the school at 2050 S. Kipling St."West Metro Fire personnel treated the eight students on scene and they were released," said Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis. "None of the students were transported for medical treatment."
Sallie Woodward told 7NEWS her grandson sprayed the students after a female student said she had pepper spray in her purse. Woodward said her grandson didn't believe it was really pepper spray and sprayed it in the air on the bus."He's in trouble," she told 7NEWS.There were approximately 50 students on the bus when the incident happened at about 2:30 p.m., Davis said.
