DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. -- The Douglas County's Sheriff's Office said an alleged home invasion is now a case of false reporting.Deputies were investigating a report of a disabled man being the victim of a home invasion robbery and assault after three people forced their way into a house east of Parker. They said it was reported on Thursday afternoon. But now deputies have changed their investigation into an incident of false reporting, said Douglas County Deputy Michelle Rademacher.
Just after 4 p.m., deputies were called to a burglary in progress at a home east of Parker. When they arrived, a disable resident of the home told them two men and a woman broke into the house, assaulted the resident, and stole items from the home. The resident told Douglas County deputies that the woman had come through the neighborhood in recent weeks claiming to be a salesperson selling aerial photography.
