DENVER -- The Colorado Supreme Court heard arguments Wednesday on whether loaded, concealed guns should be allowed at the University of Colorado.CU enacted a ban on all concealed weapons in the 1970s. However, state law prohibits local government from limiting concealed carry rights.CU attorney Patrick O'Rourke argued before the justices that the act applies to cities and counties -- not CU's campuses.
Supporters told the court that the issue is not whether guns should be allowed on campus, but whether the Board of Regents has the power to set school policies.
