Baby Sitter Facing Abuse Charges After Infant Dies

BRIGHTON, Colo. -- A 6-month-old Adams County girl found not breathing last week has died after being removed from life support. The unidentified child died Monday evening.An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of her death.
Sheriff's officials say 23-year-old Ana Rosa Garay (pictured, left) was looking after the girl Friday when she was discovered not breathing around 10:30 a.m.Deputies arrested Garay on felony child abuse charges but it is likely that she will face a charge of felony child abuse resulting in death. She's being held on $100,000 bond.Two children belonging to Garay are in the custody of Social Services. Her case will be presented to the Adams County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday.
