Aurora, Colo., police have asked for the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly raped a woman he met at a popular bar.

According to police, the suspect approached a woman in the Stampede bar at 2430 S. Havana St. Nov. 6 and said he was a professional athlete with a local team.

Police released a surveillance photo of the suspect (pictured, left) taken at the bar.

The woman told police the two talked for most of the evening and then she agreed to go outside with him. After they got in his vehicle, the suspect drove the woman to a nearby parking lot against her will.

Police said the man sexually assaulted the woman in the vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male with light complexion, 6 foot 6 inches tall, muscular build, with very bright and straight teeth. He was last seen wearing a two-tone baseball cap with a light colored sport coat, turtleneck and dark pants.

The alleged victim said the suspect drove a sport utility vehicle, but she didn't know the make or model.

Police have asked anyone who may recognize the surveillance photo of the suspect to contact them.
