AURORA, Colo. -- Aurora police are investigating a fatal shooting involving a police officer at a Colfax motel.
The shooting occurred around 4:40 p.m. at the Topstar Motel at Colfax and Joliet.
Police released few details, but said an undercover operation was being conducted and a uniformed officer moved in to help make an arrest. That's when the shooting occurred.
The suspect was rushed to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
