DENVER -- The graphic word-for-word transcript of Kobe Bryant preliminary hearing has been released and they confirm earlier reports of the testimony that was given on Oct. 9.
The sole witness during the Eagle County, Colo., District Court proceeding was Doug Winters, the sheriff's detective who interviewed the alleged 19-year-old rape victim the morning after the alleged attack. The transcript gives the word-by-word testimony from Winters who interviewed the woman. According to the woman, Bryant, 25, grabbed her by the neck, bent her over a chair, and raped her while she cried and asked the NBA star to stop. Bryant repeatedly warned the woman not to tell anyone about the incident at the luxury hotel where she worked, according to Winters' testimony. The transcript contains little new, beyond what has already been reported.Click here to read the transcript on TheSmokingGun.com Web site. Warning: the testimony is graphic and sexual in nature. The transcript was released after the Vail Daily News released copies of what it said were the e-mails between the Eagle County Sheriff's Office and a T-shirt company selling anti-Kobe Bryant shirts. Click here to read the e-mails.Bryant's next court appearance is Nov. 13 in Eagle, Colo.
