VAIL, Colo. -- Vail's Town Council is debating whether to spend thousands to move a sculpture that's sitting in storage.Vail moved the artwork by Jesus Moroles, from Vail Village to storage five years ago, after it was criticized for not fitting it with its surroundings, according to the Vail Daily. The newspaper said $160,000 has already been set aside for the project, but it will cost another $95,000 to move the statue to Ford Park.
The Town Council is expected to vote on the issue Tuesday. The money would come from real estate transfer taxes.
