A senior cadet at the Air Force Academy pleaded guilty Wednesday to running a pornographic Web site from his dorm room and using his school computer to organize off-campus orgies.

Cadet 1st Class Sterling Barnes admitted he set up group sex sessions online using government computers.

"I have no one to blame but myself. I have very loving parents and I'm sorry if I brought them embarrassment," said Barnes in court.

An exclusive 7NEWS investigation showed Barnes admitting to setting up sex sessions between as many as 30 men and one woman using computers in his dorm room at the academy.

The undercover investigation showed that Barnes, 23, not only allegedly arranged group sex, but also participated in the events and appeared in pornographic photos, which were posted on the Internet. He faces charges of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with women while other men were present.

In addition to arranging group sex, Barnes was also accused of misusing government equipment and software to advertise and sell pornography and with viewing obscene images with the same equipment.

Barnes was supposed to graduate in May but has been on administrative hold since the investigation began.

Under a plea agreement -- military prosecutors asked a judge to confine Barnes to the brig for 18 months and give him a dishonorable discharge from the academy.

The judge did not immediately pronounce sentence.

Barnes faced up to 14 years in a military prison, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and dismissal from the Air Force.

The porn site, "The Denver Horsemen," was run for two years by a person with the moniker S.B. Before it was pulled, the site listed almost 9,000 members.

When Barnes agreed to meet a couple he thought might be interested in participating in his group but were actually members of the 7NEWS staff, he told them," I don't tell anybody (that I'm at the academy) because I'd get kicked out ... conduct unbecoming. You are doing something to discredit the academy and the Air Force and yourself."
