A Jefferson County judge agreed to seal Heather DeWild's autopsy report Friday.

Heather Dewild

The remains of the 30-year-old woman from Edgewater were discovered earlier this month along Highway 6 in Clear Creek Canyon. Her decomposed body was found wrapped in clear plastic and buried in a shallow grave.

She had been missing since July 24. The coroner has confirmed the body was hers but hasn't released any other information.

Jeffco coroner Carl Blesch told the court the report is nearly complete, but there were still a few details to be finished.

Jefferson County investigators said releasing the autopsy results and the cause of death could compromise the case. The report could be unsealed if an arrest is made.

No suspects have been named. The home of DeWild's estranged husband, Daniel DeWild, was searched twice. Detectives have gathered several boxes of evidence but have not disclosed what they have found. Daniel DeWild has not been named as a suspect in his wife's disappearance.

Heather DeWild vanished just days before their divorce was to become final. She left behind two children, a 3-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, who are now staying with her parents.

Her funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at Catholic Church in Wheat Ridge. Her family is holding a rosary Friday night at Mount Olivet Chapel at 12801 W. 44th Ave.
