DENVER, Colo. -- Charges were filed Wednesday against a senior Air Force Academy cadet who is accused of misusing government computers and software to run a pornography
site on the Internet, 7NEWS reported.
Cadet First Class Sterling Barnes was charged with violating Article 92 -- which is failure to obey a lawful order or regulation.
The academy says he's specifically charged with using government computers to advertise and sell pornography and wrongfully store obscene material.
He's also accused of conduct unbecoming of an officer and for arranging for group-sex sessions.
The story was first reported in an exclusive 7NEWS Investigates hidden camera investigation.
The 23-year-old senior cadet has sent hundreds of e-mails to the Internet groups that he organized, 7NEWS reported.
The sites promote group sex among as many as two dozen men and one woman.
The cadet not only arranged the sessions, but participated in them and appeared in pornographic photos which are posted on the Internet, 7NEWS reported.
An Article 32 hearing is pending. Officials say he could get up to 14 years in confinement.
